Kate Swallow (Bouquet) is a floor model at a posh London department store. Her husband is famous author Alec Bolton (Pryce). Her marriage is thrown into turmoil when she finishes her own novel and Alec's dashing new publisher, Vanny Corso (Walken), an American, offers to publish her book. Corso has more than just books on his mind and when Kate's husband objects to her writing career she is driven into the arms of Corso, who proves to have ego problems of his own. Now she must decide what her priorities are... marriage... passion... or career.

Whatever is lacking in story and premise, Walken's performance makes up for it. His character, Vanny Corso is confident, tenacious, crass and very dashing. Although he plays the typical egomaniac, there is something very likable about this character...perhaps it's because Walken plays him so well. This is one of my favorites...very watchable, very entertaining. Also, Walken's tango is flawless.
